My name is Riccardo Tosi and I am a postdoc researcher at the Faculty of Pure Mathematics of the University of Freiburg, Germany, in the research group of Annette Huber-Klawitter.
Previously, I was a postdoc fellow at the Faculty of Mathematics of the University of Duisburg-Essen, Germany, for the Winter Semester 2025/2026. I completed my PhD at the University of Duisburg-Essen under the supervision of Johannes Sprang in the Research Training Group of the GRK 2553 founded by the DFG. I defended my thesis on August 29, 2025.
My main research interests revolve around irrationality proofs for multiple zeta values and special values of L-functions. This includes also the study of periods of hyperplane arrangements and mixed Tate motives. I also work in transcendental number theory, especially topics related to algebraic independence of values of exponential, elliptic and abelian functions.
Here is my CV.
