My name is Riccardo Tosi and I am a postdoc fellow at the Faculty of Mathematics of the University of Duisburg-Essen, Germany, for the Winter Semester 2025/2026.
Starting from April 2026 I will join the research group of Annette Huber-Klawitter at the University of Freiburg, Germany.
I completed my PhD at the University of Duisburg-Essen under the supervision of Johannes Sprang in the Research Training Group of the GRK 2553 founded by the DFG. I defended my thesis on August 29, 2025.
My main research interests revolve around irrationality proofs for multiple zeta values and special values of L-functions. This includes also the studz of periods of hyperplane arrangements and mixed Tate motives. I also work in trascendental number theory, especially topics related to algebraic independence of values of exponential, elliptic and abelian functions.
And yes, in case you were wondering, the orchids in the header are mine :-)
