Radiotherapy / Radiosurgery

Contributing to the design and development of prototypes that encapsulate novel optimization methods for photon-based radiotherapy (IMRT, VMAT) and GammaKnife radiosurgery treatment planning. Supporting IT activities and linking medical needs with research output. We have been in contact with the most important enterprises in the field in order to show them the results obtained from a close collaboration with physicians, physicists, private investors and scientists. [Slicer, MeVisLab, Matlab, VTK, Python, medical standards (DICOM, DICOM-RT)].

Thrombus VPH / FP7 Project - Pipeline of Apps

http://www.thrombus-vph.eu

Thrombus project objective is to study and to develop a quantitative model of thrombosis in intracranial aneurysms. Many applications are needed to support the work of researchers, medical doctors, PhD students, ... and to integrate all the data (images, results, geometries, code) produced by several partners. My work is focused on solving these problems using informatic tools, sometimes implementing new applications or sometimes using specialized/scientific software. Additionally, I contribute in the medical image analysis and with some validation tests.

Thrombus Web

A web app with a responsive design to integrate heterogeneous data from patients for the decision making process in intracranial flow-diverter deployment.

Coronary Arteries in CTA images

Master project. Covers the study of several methods to segment the coronary arteries in CTA images. For more information read my master thesis or contact me.

Coronary lumen segmentation and vessel centerline extraction. First summary of the master's project and this work is linked to the two publications presented in SIB2012. More details in Publications.
