Privacy Policy for Ribwork
Last updated: September 28, 2026
Overview
Ribwork ("the App") is a guided breathing app offering 4-7-6-6 breathing and, with a one-time unlock, guided Valsalva and Müller maneuvers, resisted breathing, bunny breathing, the Yahweh breath prayer and belt breaths. This Privacy Policy explains how the App handles user data.
Data Collection
The App does not collect, transmit, or share any personal data with the developer or any third party.
Specifically, the App:
Does not require account creation or login
Does not use analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs
Does not use cookies for tracking
Does not collect device identifiers, location, contacts, or crash reports
Data Stored on Your Device
The App saves your settings, your session history (date, length, and number of breaths or rounds), whether you have read an exercise's safety notes, and whether you own the full-app unlock. This data is stored only in your device's local browser storage and never leaves your device. Uninstalling the App or clearing its data deletes it.
The App may keep your screen awake during a session and may vibrate your device at each phase change. The voice guide plays recordings that come with the App; if a recording is missing, it uses your device's built-in speech engine instead. The App never uses your microphone.
Purchases
The optional full-app unlock is sold through Google Play. Payment is handled entirely by Google Play under Google's Privacy Policy; the App never sees your payment details. The App asks Google Play only whether your account owns the unlock. To confirm a purchase, the App may send the purchase token issued by Google Play to the developer's verification server, which checks it with Google and keeps no other information about you.
Network Access
The App's pages, sounds and voice recordings are hosted on GitHub Pages. The App downloads them from there the first time it opens, and again when an update is available, then works offline. Like any website host, GitHub receives your IP address and basic device information with these requests, under the GitHub Privacy Statement. The developer does not receive or see this information.
The App also loads its fonts from Google Fonts the first time it opens. Google Fonts may receive your IP address as part of that request, under Google's Privacy Policy.
Health Information
The App does not ask for or record any health information. The Valsalva and Müller maneuvers, resisted breathing, bunny breathing, Yahweh breath prayer and belt breath exercises are guided timers only and are not medical advice.
Children's Privacy
The App does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children under 13, because it does not collect personal information from anyone.
Changes to This Policy
If this policy changes, an updated version will be posted here with a revised "Last updated" date.
