Guilherme Ribeiro, born in 1994 in São Paulo, is a Brazilian composer interested in blending experimental music with music rooted in Brazilian oral traditions. He earned his bachelor's and master's degrees in composition from the University of São Paulo in 2019, under the supervision of Professor Silvio Ferraz.

He is currently studying at the Conservatoire de Strasbourg, where he attends the composition class of Daniel D’Adamo and the electroacoustic class of Tom Mays. His career in France began in 2022. During his first two years there, Ribeiro collaborated and worked with ensembles such as Quatuor Diotima, Proxima Centauri, Ensemble Linea (conducted by Jean-Philippe Wurtz), Les Cris de Paris (directed by Geoffroy Jourdain), Hanatsu Miroir, and Lovemusic.

His works are listed in the Babelscores catalogue and are regularly performed in various countries such as France, Brazil, the United States, Argentina, and Portugal, in venues like the Cité de la musique et de la danse in Strasbourg, Théâtre 95 (Paris), Théâtre des Quatre Saisons (Gradignan), Sala Cecília Meireles (Rio de Janeiro), Teatro São Pedro (São Paulo), Teatro Municipal de São Paulo (Salão Nobre), MAC Ibirapuera, Sesc Paulista, CCSP, Salão Leopoldo Miguez (Rio de Janeiro), and ESML (Lisbon), among others.

As a composer, he has received national and international awards, notably at the 22nd Biennial of Brazilian Contemporary Music, the 28th Panorama of Brazilian Contemporary Music, the 25th USP Nascente Program, and the 2nd Atemporánea Festival (Buenos Aires, Argentina), among others.

During the 2023–2024 academic year, Ribeiro was in residence with the ensembles Proxima Centauri and Les Cris de Paris, for whom he composed new works that premiered in Paris and Bordeaux in 2024.
