Rib Lake School District ACP

Academic & Career Planning (ACP)

The overarching goal for Rib Lake High School graduates is to have students who have skills in communication, problem solving, creativity, and collaboration. Academic and Career Planning is implemented in the Rib Lake School District to give students and their families the tools necessary to make more informed choices about post secondary education and training as it leads to career selection. ACP is also based on personal exploration and designed learning targets which are sequentially based using activities that promote every student graduating high school college and career ready. Although many ACP activities are done on site through the use of Xello program, students will also be involved in learning activities off-site at work sites and post-secondary institutions.

A brief outline of the essential questions, learning targets, and student outcomes are explained below. If you would like to know more about ACP, please call High School Counselor Michelle Rhodes or Elementary/Middle Level Counselor Jessica Boston.

Xello is a brand new program that helps students plan their own unique journey whether it involves a trade, college, university, entrepreneurship, or other training. The Xello program helps each grade level from 6th - 12th plan for their future to be college and career ready.

ACP is state mandated requirement for all students in grades 6th-12th. More information about the PI 26 legislation can be found here
