Is the participation limited to students?

No, anyone can participate - but students can expect a benefit of a free/discounted publication.

What is the article processing charge?

Article processing charge (APC) is 50€ per paper. The APC is only charged after review process, if the article is accepted for publication.

APC includes the proofing of the paper, typesetting, a digital copy of the conference proceedings and the digital attendance certificate.

The APC is waived for those papers which have a student (where a student is any person currently involved in school, undergraduate, graduate or doctoral level studies) as the first author of the article. The organizational board reserves the right to request proof of the involvement of student in an educational program if the need arises.

What are the discounts for students participating in the paper?

If the student is the first author of the paper you will recieve a full (100%) discount - in other words, the APC will be waived and the publication of the paper is completely free.

If the student is not the first author, but is one of the co-authors you will receive a 40% discount on your APC.

Can I join the conference without presenting? Is there a charge for this?

Joining the conference is completely free for anyone interested. Links to the conference (if held online/in a hybrid format) will be posted on this website and the conference Facebook page.

Will RI-STEM-2022 be held online or in person?

Due to the epidemiological concerns, and uncertainity of the situation surrounding the Corona crisis, the plan is to either hold the conference fully online, or using a hybrid approach - where some presentations are held in person and some online, at the presenters discretion.

What is the language of the conference?

All the papers and presentations must be submitted and held in English.

Do I have to present the paper if I submit it?

No, we also offer the option of presenting your paper through a poster section instead of an oral presentation.

How to submit the paper?
Using the Google Form available on this website when submissions are open.

Are the conference proceedings indexed?
Conference proceedings are indexed in Croatian Scientific Bibliography, ResearchGate and Google Scholar.
