Rhythms of Hope is a collection of volunteers and a panel of organizers working together to bring music to everyone. Rhythms of Hope is a Non Profit organization.
Founder & President
Malachi Balakrishnan is a Freshman at A&M studying Engineering, and has been a pianist for over a decade He graduated from Seven Lakes High school Katy. He has won The American Protege Competition and the Golden Classical Music Awards both giving him the opportunity to perform at Carnegie Hall. His vision for Rhythms of Hope is to expand past himself and to reach many more people.
Supervisor
Sharmila Jayatilleke has been teaching piano for more than 10 years in Katy. Supervisor and co-ordinate Malachi's Rhythms of Hope volunteer work.
Team Lead for Willow Fork Cinco Ranch
Maya is a 6th grader and has been studying piano for over a year with pianokeys studio. She is our new Team Leader for Rhythms of Hope and will be co-ordinating student performers for our future events.
Team Lead - Katy Legacy at Falcon point

Akshaj will be a Freshman this fall and excited to lead the Rhythms of Hope for Legacy at Falcon point Senior home.
Akshaj is really excited to be a team leader for the Rhythms of Hope event. I have always had a passion for music, and when I had the opportunity to spread the joy of music, I couldn’t pass it up. I enjoy all kind of music, and love to play tennis and swimming.
Akshaj is studying piano with Mrs.Sharmila and progressing well.

Volunteer Co-Ordinator for Katy Team
Students and those in attendance with students (e.g. Friends, family) this event through the SHARMILA’S PIANO STUDIO , Pianokeys , or any other organizations agree to hold harmless Sharmila Jayatilleke, and Malachi Balakrishnan, and our coordinators Maya Nagaraj, Rosa Nagaraj , Akshaj Pathak the property owners of the pianokeys, Rhythm of Hopes , Sharmila’s Piano Studio and /or owners and operators of other related venues and functions from all liability pertaining to but not limited to physical, personal, emotional injury and /or property damage.
If a student, student’s sibling(s), parents, or other individuals the student brought to Rhythms Of Hopes events cause damage to venues/property, the student or the parent agrees to pay for the damage.
