Welcome to Rhythm Shimakawa's Page

I work as an associate professor at Waseda University, Waseda Institute for Advanced Study (WIAS) and Center for Data Science.

The main goal of my studies is to answer the following question, "how did the Universe drive the formation and evolution processes of the galaxies we see today? " I am studying mass assembly histories of galaxies and black holes, and their environmental dependences within the large-scale structure, by UV to IR observations for ISM/CGM/IGM of galaxies, (proto)clusters, superclusters, and voids.
