Welcome to RHYTHM & HEART

Premiering on the evening of Friday, January 22nd @ 6:30 PM

Mavy is a junior at GHS. Mavy has had many experiences with music dating back to over 13 years ago, starting with the piano, and 3 years later with singing and the violin.

Sierra Cummings (she/her/hers) is a senior at Gorham High School, and is very enthusiastic about the arts. Appearing in over 20+ musicals and plays since she was just 8 years old, you could say the stage is her second home. She wants nothing more than to give back to the community that’s helped her grow as an artist all these years, and hopes you too will give back, and enjoy all of the amazing Rhythm and Heart performances ahead!

Tessa Dol (she/her/hers) is a junior at Gorham High School. Her love for music began at a young age, but began taking it seriously after leaving behind a long gymnastics career. Since then, Tessa has participated in many talent shows, choir festivals, and musicals. Tessa has big dreams for her future including Broadway and writing original music. Giving back to the community has always remained of great importance to Tessa because she believes that in the grand span of things, we’re all riding this crazy journey called life together. It’s vital that we give back when we can, and support others when at their lows. Lastly, she hopes you will enjoy the show!

Isaac Martel (He/His/Him) is a second-year musical theater student at USM. His music career began at the age of five, when he began playing piano. His first musical role came four years later, when he played a munchkin and a flying monkey in the Wizard of Oz. Since then, he’s been doing musicals and plays as frequently as he can. He’s happy for the opportunity to use music to give back to the community that allowed him to pursue his passion, and hopes you enjoy.

Leah Scontras (She/Her) is a sophomore at Assumption University who is majoring in Spanish and Education. For her, Rhythm and Heart is an opportunity to spread positivity to others. Music has always been present in Leah's life and it has made her feel more united with others. She is looking forward to participating in the show as well as watching some of her friends showcase their own talents. The added bonus is that in doing so, we all get the chance to give back to our community!

𝙷𝙰𝚉𝙴 is a rock band from Gorham, Maine composed of Luc Anthony on lead vocals and lead guitar, Will Boylen on bass, Mason Landre on guitar, and Gavin Lavoie on drums. Our band was formed 3 years ago by Luc and Mason when they came up with the idea to start a band after playing together and realizing how fun it was. Not too long after we acquired Will on bass and from there they began writing songs together. We played for 2 years without a drummer until we finally convinced Gavin to join and we’ve been doing much better since. We’re juniors now, and Gorham is the reason why we are together doing what we love. It feels good to continue to do that for the benefit of our community and we hope people will contribute!
