Coaches

Anthony Mahady is in his fifth year as the Head Coach of the Irish.  He's excited and grateful to have the opportunity to work with this exceptional coaching staff and group of outstanding young men. Coach Mahady was the JV coach at Woodbury High School in 2018, and has been involved with the Irish golf program since 2019.

Coach Mahady is particularly interested in the mental side of the game and the amount of creativity that can influence different shot types and routes to the hole. 

Coach Mahady played High School golf at Woodbury High School for 6 years and graduated from the University of St. Thomas with a degree in Secondary Education: Earth and Space Science and received both his Masters and doctorate in Educational Leadership from Minnesota State Moorhead. Coach teaches 9th Grade Honors and on-level Earth Science at RHS. 

Coach Gullicks

Brady Gullicks is beginning his fifth year as an Assistant Golf Coach at Rosemount. He is extremely excited to work with the staff and to be a part of something special at Rosemount.  

Brady is a coach that places a lot of emphasis on the short game and knows that the short game is where strokes can be both gained and lost. Brady also understands the importance of having a strong mental game and the importance of developing a strong mental mindset. 

Coach Gullicks played High School golf for 6 years at Hastings High School. He graduated from Concordia College with a Science Education major. Coach Gullicks received his Master’s in Education and Learning at the University of Saint Mary’s. Coach Gullicks teaches 6th and 8th Grade Science at SHMS and looks forward to becoming more involved in Rosemount Athletics.

Erik Ostlund is beginning his 3rd year as an Assistant Golf Coach at Rosemount. Erik coaches the JV-B team, with the goal of developing 7th – 9th grade golfers’ on-course skills, strategy and mental focus to build a strong pipeline for our Junior Varsity and Varsity teams. Erik coordinates with other schools to create competitive opportunities (9 hole matches) for these developing golfers. Both as a competitor and a coach, Erik places a particular emphasis on working with a golfer’s individual strengths as well as developing a strong and the mental game.  Erik became closely involved with the game in his youth, growing up on and working at Stonebrooke golf course in Shakopee, Minnesota.  He played 3 years of varsity golf at Shakopee High School, and 4 years at Carleton College.

Erik has a degree in Economics from Carleton College, and a Masters in Instruction from St. Mary’s University.  He teaches Honors Algebra II and College Algebra, Probability & Statistics at Rosemount High School.  Erik lives in Rosemount with his wife (Emily), and two daughters (Gwendolyn & Juliet), whom he has also coached in basketball over the years.
