Underground Utility Contractor Practice Course
Rhode Island Underground Utility Contractor license is required for all persons who enter into contracts for the construction, installation and maintenance of utility lines and appurtenant facilities including, but not limited to: telephone, telegraph, cable television, fiber optic cable, electric power lines, natural gas distribution lines and sewer lines.
The Underground Utility Contractor Practice Course is designed to provide training for those individuals who wish to become licensed as an underground utility contractor in the state of Rhode Island. The course includes information on state laws and regulations, safety procedures and equipment used in the construction of underground utilities. The course also provides hands-on training on underground utilities using mock-ups and actual equipment used by utility companies such as trenchless technology equipment.
