A low FODMAP diet is designed to help manage digestive issues, particularly for individuals with some types of medical conditions so they can avoid certain types of carbohydrates. This diet involves reducing the intake of certain carbs from foods such as cauliflower known as FODMAPs, which can cause symptoms like gas, bloating, and stomach pain.
A paleo diet is eating plant based foods that humans might have eaten during the Paleolithic Era. A modern paleo diet includes fruits, vegetables, lean meats, fish, eggs, nuts and seeds. These are foods that in the past people could get by hunting and gathering. It doesn't include foods that became more common when small-scale farming began about 10,000 years ago. These foods include grains, legumes and dairy products. Other names for a paleo diet include Paleolithic diet, Stone Age diet, hunter-gatherer diet and cave man diet.
Low carb, high fat diet
The keto diet, or ketogenic diet, is a low carb, high fat diet that aims to induce a state of ketosis in the body, where fat is burned for energy instead of carbohydrates. The primary goal is to shift the body's metabolism from relying on glucose to utilizing fat as its main energy source.
Halal means 'lawful' or 'permitted' and the halal diet essentially refers to any and all food and beverage items that Muslims are permissible to consume under the Islamic dietary guidelines. Halal meat is considered healthier to consume, spiritually beneficial in adherence with following one's beliefs, and not allowing for the consumption of harmful or impure particles from meat. Hence, halal food must go through a specific process from farm to packaging to be truly considered halal. For this reason, food labeled halal must undergo halal certification so consumers can have the utmost confidence it is what it claims to be. The meat of the animal is gathered from an animal that is slaughtered by slitting the neck arteries and hanging the animal upside down in order to drain the blood from it before butchering it for consumption to cook after distributing it for sale.
