Engineering Pathway
Computers are changing everything......
From cell phones, GPS navigation systems, satellites, movies, to our SMART home systems ("Hey, Alexa, turn the light off please!"), our lives are changing in the speed of light. As so, technology affects every career field!
We believe that every 21st century student should have a chance to learn about algorithms, how to make apps, and how the internet works, just like they learn about photosynthesis, the digestive system, or the electricity.
Jobs in IT field are quickly becoming very lucrative. Currently, computer science majors make a lifetime earnings of 1.67 million dollars, compared to 580,000 dollars for high school graduate. This means that computer science majors make close to three times the amount of what high school graduates make!
It's not just a lucrative job, but also the fastest growing, especially because there are IT-related jobs in every sector.
Computing jobs are the #1 source of new wages in the United States. Not only that, there are 500,000 current openings in every industry. These numbers are projected to grow at least twice the rate of other jobs!
