The Rhetoric and Religious Traditions Standing Group operates under the auspices of the Conference on College Composition and Communication (the collegiate arm of the National Council of Teachers of English). We are committed to fostering scholarly inquiry into the intersections of rhetoric, writing, and literacy studies and religious traditions. We welcome scholars of all religious traditions. We welcome scholarship that is both theoretical and practical in nature. The organization accomplishes its mission by encouraging members to develop session proposals for CCCCs and other conferences, by alerting members to newly published scholarship in this field, and by promoting collaboration and mentorship among interested scholars.
