Without the voice of our students and residents, we can only make guesses about what the most pressing issues are and the best way to address them. Student input is key in order to fully understand the issues and develop effective plans to move forward.

We can gain student voice in a variety of ways, with the type of issue helping decide what the best methods are. In an attempt to reconnect with students, I propose the following changes for RHA:

  • Town Halls
    • Regular town halls in each neighborhood on a public schedule
    • "Emergency" town halls to address issues the impact a significant portion of any population
  • Center President training on advocacy
  • Keeping in conversation with campus partners
    • RAs and CUEs
    • Culture Centers
    • IUSA + Union Board + GPSG
    • RPS
    • IU Health Center
    • IU Office of Student Conduct
  • Advocacy Request Form
