Objectives

The objectives of the Society are:

• Share knowledge and information between students that have an interest and passion for Economics

• Create interesting discussion on Economics topics

• Keep abreast of current affairs

• Push Economics to a wider audience at the school 

• Make Economics as a subject more accessible to students in lower years

• Increase the visibility of Economics as a subject

These objectives will be met via undertaking the following activities:

• Debates - topics derived from essay competitions, current affairs, society members and past Economics papers

• Guest Speakers - parents, OWs, local community and active reach out

• Presentations from Society Members

• Knowledge Sharing - e.g. University Open Days, essay competitions, admission exams

• Trips - e.g. Bank of England, Institute of Economics Affairs, Universities such as LSE

• Careers - create links with employers for work experience opportunities and insight days
