Welcome to my webpage! I am a Senior Lecturer (Associate Professor) at the Department of Electrical and Computer Systems Engineering of Monash University.

I received the B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees in Electrical Engineering from University of Tehran, Iran in 2009 and 2011, respectively and the Ph.D. degree from École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL), Switzerland in 2016.

Before joining Monash University, from April 2016 to October 2017, I was a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at EPFL.

Research Interests:

Real-time monitoring systems (PMUs) and synchrophasor networks

Operation and control of active distribution networks

Power system stability

Advanced protection and fault location techniques

Electromagnetic transients in power networks

I will edit a Special Issue on "Embedded Sensors for Fault Diagnosis in Electrical Wiring Interconnection Systems, Power Grids, Structural Cables, Pipelines, and Electrical Machines" at IEEE Sensors. The deadline is 30'th of October 2019. The call for papers (CFP) can be found on this link.


I am invited to give a plenary talk in the 3rd Workshop on Communication Networks and Power Systems on November 8th in Brasilia, Brazil.


I am selected as a finalist for the Fresh Science Victoria.


I am organising a Special Session on "Advanced Diagnostics Methods in Wire systems and Transmission Lines" at 2019 International Instrumentation and Measurement Technology Conference, Auckland, New Zealand.


I am organising a Special Session on "“Smart Distribution Networks and Microgrids" at International Conference on Smart Power & Internet Energy Systems, Melbourne, Australia.


I am shortlisted as a finalist for the 1 Million Euro Lopez-Loreta Prize.
