Reza Filizadeh is currently pursuing his PhD at the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering of the University of Vermont (UVM). He graduated with a MS in Structural Engineering in 2015 from Sharif University of Technology, Iran. He also received his BS in Civil Engineering from Sharif University of Technology in 2013. During his Master's, he worked on a research project focused on development of the Endurance Time (ET) method for assessment of life cycle cost of bridges under seismic hazards. Also, he implemented an optimization code in MATLAB to perform value-based seismic design of bridges.
