Study of the US Institutes (SUSIs) for Scholars on Religious Pluralism hosted at Seattle University in August 2022 (as part of the program, also visited some other parts in the states of Washington and Idaho.
Tour to Afghanistan in August-September 2019 to participate in an international seminar at the Afghanistan Center at Kabul University (ACKU) and conduct fieldwork for an ICSSR-sponsored research project. Besides Kabul, I also visited Herat and Balkh.
Trip to Turkey in July 2018 to participate in the Fifth International ILEM Summer School, Istanbul, Turkey, on ‘Urban Crises and Trends in the Muslim World’ and alter some touristy stuff in Istanbul, Ankara, and Konya.
Trip to England in October 2016 to participate in the MUSA Workshop organized in collaboration with Centre d'Études de l'Inde et de l'Asie du Sud (Centre for South Asian Studies), Paris & Centre of South Asian Studies, Cambridge at King's College, Cambridge. I also visited London and Oxford.
In May 2016, I visited Kyrgyzstan as part of my PhD fieldwork, and I also participated in an international seminar at Ala-Too International University, Bishkek. Besides Bishkek, the capital, I visited Issyk Kul and Osh.
In 2014, I visited Afghanistan for the first time at the height of the campaigns for the presidential elections and reported on it for several Indian media. I visited Kabul, its suburbs, and Panjshir mainly.
In 2013, I visited Kathmandu, Nepal, to participate in a multi-media workshop organized by the International Center for Journalists (ICFJ).
In 2010, I visited Germany to participate in a summer school at Erfurt University. We also visited Frankfurt, Weimar, Buchenwald, and Berlin.
