PLOT SUMMARY

In the film “Rewind,” John, a hard-working office employee, is given a chance to travel back in time to save his wife Mary from an accident and mend their strained relationship. After a series of events, including confronting his boss Hermie, having a fling with a colleague named Vivian, and ultimately losing Mary in a car crash, John meets an electrician named Lods who offers him the opportunity to go back in time to prevent Mary’s death. However, there is a condition that someone has to die that day. John agrees and goes back in time to rectify his mistakes.

He revisits key moments where he corrects his errors, reconciles with his father, and ensures his son Austin can pursue his passion for music. Despite changing the course of events to save Mary from the fatal accident, John realizes that his own fate is tied to sacrificing himself so that Mary and Austin can thrive in their respective careers. In a poignant conclusion, John accepts his destiny and passes away after ensuring a bright future for his family.

The film concludes with Mary and Austin leading successful lives years later, with Austin starting his own family. An elderly Mary dances with John’s spirit, signifying their enduring connection even beyond death.
