Privacy Policy for RevTrack GPS

RevTrack GPS is a GPS drive log, speedometer, and acceleration test application. This Privacy Policy explains how the app handles information when you use it.
1. Information We Collect
RevTrack GPS may collect or process the following information:
Location Data
RevTrack GPS uses your device location only when you grant location permission and manually start a trip, map tracking, or a 0-100 / 0-60 acceleration run. Location data is used to calculate live speed, distance, route history, average speed, maximum speed, and map visualization.
Motion and Sensor Data
The app may use device motion sensors to estimate G-force while driving or during acceleration tests. This data is used only inside the app for display and trip/run statistics.
Trip and Run Data
The app stores trip logs, route points, distance, duration, speed statistics, acceleration results, and G-force values on your device. You may rename or delete these records inside the app.
Device and App Information
The app may process limited device or app information required for app functionality, advertising, in-app purchases, crash prevention, and compatibility.
2. How We Use Information
RevTrack GPS uses information to:
- Display live GPS speed
- Record driving trips and route history
- Show trip maps and route details
- Calculate distance, average speed, maximum speed, and G-force
- Record 0-100 km/h or 0-60 mph acceleration runs
- Provide optional speed overlay functionality
- Show advertisements in the free version
- Manage optional ad-free purchases
- Improve app reliability and user experience
3. Location Tracking
RevTrack GPS does not track your location in the background without user action. Location tracking starts only when you manually start a trip, map tracking, or acceleration run.
While tracking is active, the app may use a foreground service and show an ongoing notification so that you know tracking is running. Tracking stops when you tap Stop or end the related activity.
4. Data Storage
Trip logs, route points, speed data, acceleration results, settings, and preferences are stored locally on your device.
RevTrack GPS does not operate its own server for storing your trip history or live location data.
If you delete logs inside the app or uninstall the app, locally stored data may be removed from your device.
5. Data Sharing
RevTrack GPS does not sell your personal data.
The app does not share your live location or trip routes with other users.
Some third-party services may process limited data as required for their features:
Google AdMob
The free version of the app may show ads using Google AdMob. Google may collect or process device identifiers, advertising data, approximate location, app interaction data, and other information according to Google’s own policies.
Google Play Billing
If you purchase the ad-free version, the transaction is processed by Google Play. RevTrack GPS does not receive or store your full payment details.
Map Services
The app may use map data to display routes and locations. Map tile providers may receive standard technical requests necessary to display maps.
6. Permissions Used
RevTrack GPS may request the following permissions:
Location Permission
Used to calculate GPS speed, record route history, show trip maps, and measure acceleration runs.
Foreground Service Location Permission
Used to continue GPS measurement while a user-started trip or tracking session is active and visible through a notification.
Notification Permission
Used to show tracking status while a trip is running.
Overlay Permission
Optional. Used only if you enable the speed overlay feature, which displays your current speed over other apps during an active trip.
Internet Permission
Used for ads, map data, weather information, and related online services.
7. Advertising and In-App Purchases
RevTrack GPS may display ads in the free version. You may optionally purchase an ad-free version through Google Play Billing.

8. Weather Information
The app may use your current or approximate location to show weather or temperature information. This is used only to provide the weather display feature.
9. Data Deletion
You can delete trip logs and acceleration run records inside the app. You can also reset odometer data from the settings screen.
You may uninstall the app to remove locally stored app data from your device.
10. Children’s Privacy
RevTrack GPS is not intended for children under 13. The app is designed for drivers and vehicle-related use. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
11. Security
RevTrack GPS stores trip and app data locally on your device. We use platform-provided Android storage and Google Play services where applicable. However, no method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure.
12. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted by updating the “Last updated” date above.
