The Battle of Goliad
October 10, 1835
The Texans then engaged the Mexicans at the Battle of Goliad, with a force of 125 (Texans) vs 50 (Mexican). The Texans decisively won and captured the fort Presidio La Bahía which blocked the Mexican controlled port Copano from being accessed by the Mexican Army. It resulted in another Texan victory and the Texans began to gain momentum from their back-to-back victories.
