Why are Spot Elevation texts having the wrong rotations?

Question: Hi Tien, I am trying to create spot elevations for Floor but they are having the wrong text rotation. Do you have any idea?

Answer: If the spot elevations have wrong text rotation. Please follow these steps below to check:

Step 1: Is this view dependent on any views?

Step 2: If this is a dependent view, the text rotation of spot elevation always follows the parent view.

Then check if you are using a rotated scope box.

Conclusion: This is the dependent view and the rotation of the dependent view is different from the parent view. So you will get the wrong text rotation of spot elevation in the dependent view.

To have a correct text rotation you have to turn off the Shoulder of the Spot elevation. Please review the image below.

Extra Note: Please be careful when using the dependent view. Dependent views and parent views always affect each other. Like the scenario above, you can not use Shoulder of Spot Elevation in the dependent view.
