The Lesson Library contains 200 "open and teach" lessons
No prep required: Our ready-to-use lessons are designed to help you get strong results right away.
Lessons are intentionally brief — just 15 minutes per session, four times per week — to maintain focus, reduce mental fatigue, and maximize engagement.
Reading fluency is a foundational skill for academic success. Yet many students continue to struggle with fluency despite years of intervention.
These students may know phonics rules. They can recite sounds. But when they open a book, reading is still slow, effortful, and exhausting. Comprehension suffers. Confidence drops. Motivation fades.
By middle school, too many capable students are reading far below grade level — not because they lack intelligence or effort, but because the information has not been presented in a way their brains can use efficiently.
When reading instruction repeatedly fails, it is often because the learning pathway is blocked — not broken.
Students need instruction that works with their strongest neural pathways rather than against them. When we remove roadblocks and provide a clearer route to word recognition, progress becomes possible. This is especially true for neurodivergent learners, whose brains may process language differently but are fully capable of success with the right approach.
After a decade of iterative practice and refinement, a new structured intervention emerged— one that flips the traditional phonics-first sequence.
Reverse Reading keeps the strengths of structured literacy and multisensory instruction while reorganizing the learning order to better match how struggling readers build automaticity.
The program is specifically designed for struggling readers, including students with dyslexia, and aligns with structured, multisensory literacy principles.
Reverse Reading changes the instructional sequence:
Students begin with meaningful whole words
They then move into encoding (sound-to-print)
Finally, they connect those words back to targeted phonics patterns
This “whole word → encode → decode” pathway:
Reduces cognitive load
Increases confidence
Strengthens word recognition
Supports faster, more automatic reading
The over 200 Lessons in the Reverse Reading Lesson Library are intentionally brief — just 15 minutes per session, four times per week — to maintain focus, reduce mental fatigue, and maximize engagement.

Families, teachers, and tutors are often surprised by how quickly students begin to show measurable progress in fluency, accuracy, and confidence.
