About Us
Reverie Theatre
Founded by Donovan Jackson in 2014, Reverie Theatre explores the craft of theatre through the development of original works using an inclusive, collaborative approach. It strives to create challenging, introspective pieces that inspire discourse and reflection among audience members.
Reverie Theatre has been actively involved in multiple seasons of the InspiraTO Festival, premiering its first production End Stage Protest, and numerous Fringe Festivals across Canada. Following the successful appearance of Once You've Found It in the Maritimes, the company brought to life its third production, AlterVista, an inspiring and motivating, music- and light-filled piece about embracing your identity. In 2020, Reverie Theatre presented Medium Hot Coffee Black; Just Like My Soul, a prequel to a stage production entitled Medium Iced Coffee Unsweetened (underdevelopment). In the same year, a colourful shadow puppetry performance, To the Edge of the Universe, was presented at the 2020 #CanadaPerform series and again in the 2021 Fringe North Festival, spreading courage, bravery and friendship around the world.
