Plenary Speakers

Werner Jeanrond is Professor emeritus at the University of Oslo, having previously held positions at Trinity College in Dublin, the University of Lund, Oxford University, and the University of Glasgow. His major publications include Theological Hermeneutics (1994), Text and Interpretation as Categories for Theological Thinking (2005), and a trilogy on faith, hope, and love of which the latter two have appeared in 2010 and 2020.

Natalie Depraz is Professor of Philosophy at the University of Rouen Normandy and academic member of the Husserl Archives in Paris. Her major publications include Le corps glorieux: phénomenologie pratique de la Philocalie des Pères du désert et des Pères de l'Église (2014), Attention et vigilance (2014). La surprise du sujet. Un sujet cardial (2018), and Le geste du visage, une éthique de l'image (2026).

 Richard Kearney is Charles B. Seelig Professor of Philosophy at Boston College. His work in hermeneutics, literature, aesthetics, and religion includes The God Who May Be (2001), Strangers, Gods, and Monsters (2003), and Anatheism. Returning to God after God (2009), and Touch: Recovering Our Most Vital Sense (2021).

 Jean-Luc Marion is a member of the Académie Française and a leading figure worldwide in contemporary philosophy and theology. His major publications include important works on Descartes, mystical theology, and phenomenology. Among his most recent works is Revelation Comes from Elsewhere (2024).

Judith Wolfe has recently become Professor of Theology at Boston College, having previously held appointments at Oxford University and the University of St. Andrews. She has published Heidegger and Theology (2003), Heidegger's Eschatology, (2014), and, most recently, The Theological Imagination. Perception and Interpretation in Life, Art, and Faith (2024).

Brian Robinette is Professor of Theology at Boston College, having previously been Assistant and Associate Professor at St. Louis University. He has published Grammars of Resurrection: A Christian Theology of Presence and Absence (2009) and The Difference Nothing Makes: Creation, Christ, Contemplation (2023).
