Use the questions below to give you an idea of where you are so you can have a better idea of how you can get where you need to be. What is your policy on students coming to the library during the day on their own?
How do you choose books to purchase?
What are your circulation statistics compared to one year ago? Two years ago? Four years ago? Five years ago?
What are your circulation statistics compared to other high schools in your district?
What makes your library student-friendly, student-first?
Is your library ADA-compliant?
If not, how does it need to be updated to be accessible to all students?
What are your library policies in terms of circulation?
What are your library rules?
Where are the hiding places in your library?
How do students find your online resources?
How do students know about new books? About anything special going on in your library?
