The Seventh National Workshop for REU Research in Networking and Systems (REUNS 2021)

The Seventh National Workshop for REU Research in Networking and Systems (REUNS 2021)

Virtual Conference Workshop, October 7, 2021

Co-located with the 18th IEEE International Conference on Mobile Ad-Hoc and Smart Systems Conference (IEEE MASS)

Scope

  • Undergraduate research plays an important role in attracting our best undergraduates to continue towards graduate education in the science and engineering fields. Publishing research in a professional venue is part of the training for future researchers. The National Science Foundation (NSF) provides support for undergraduate research within the Research Experience for Undergraduates (REU) program. This workshop provides a venue for students to publish their research done as part of the REU program.

  • The workshop seeks original submissions in research areas that are currently funded by the NSF's Directorate for Computer and Information Science and Engineering (CISE). The key requirement for this workshop is that the submission’s lead author must be an undergraduate student funded as part of the NSF REU program, either as an REU supplement or REU Site.

Submission

  • Paper contributions: All submissions should be written in English and using IEEE Computer Society Proceedings Manuscripts style: single-spaced, double-column pages using 10pt size fonts on 8.5 x 11 inch pages, with side-margin at least 1 inch, including all figures, tables, and references. Regular submissions are restricted to 6 pages. Important: At least the lead author from each submission must be an undergraduate student funded as part of the NSF REU program, either as an REU supplement or REU Site.

  • Poster contributions: 2-page extended abstract following the same format/instructions as paper contributions . Please use the [Poster] prefix in the title for poster abstract submission. Accepted extended abstract will be charged at the same rate as paper contributions.

Important Dates

  • Paper Submission Deadline: Monday July 12 / 2021 11:59PM AoE July 7 / 2021

  • Notification of Acceptance: July 24 / 2021 July 15 / 2021,

  • Camera-ready Version: July 31 / 2021
