OVERVIEW
ReturnPilot is a Chrome browser extension that monitors Amazon order history pages for price drops and generates refund claim scripts. This policy explains what data we access and how we use it.
DATA WE COLLECT
ReturnPilot collects NO personally identifiable information. All data is stored locally on your device only and never shared.
The extension reads locally:
- Amazon product IDs from your order history page
- Purchase prices of items in your order history
- Order dates to determine the 30-day return window
- Product titles for display in the extension popup
DATA WE DO NOT COLLECT
- Name, email, or contact information
- Passwords or login credentials
- Payment or financial information
- Browsing history outside Amazon order pages
- Location or IP address
THIRD PARTY SERVICES
ReturnPilot optionally uses Puter.com's free AI service to generate refund scripts. Only product name and price are sent — no personal data. If unavailable, a local template is used instead.
GMAIL INTEGRATION (OPTIONAL)
If you enable Gmail integration in Settings, the extension reads only Amazon confirmation emails to detect purchases. This is opt-in, disabled by default, and can be revoked anytime via your Google Account settings.
DATA SHARING
We do not sell, trade, or transfer any user data to third parties, advertisers, or data brokers.
DATA RETENTION
All data is stored on your device. Uninstalling the extension removes all stored data completely.
CHANGES TO THIS POLICY
We may update this policy from time to time. Continued use after changes means acceptance of the updated policy.
