Privacy Policy — RetroZi
Effective date: June 14, 2026
Last updated: June 14, 2026
RetroZi is a retro‑game catalog app. This Privacy Policy explains what information the App handles and how. We built RetroZi to be privacy‑first: the App has no user accounts and keeps your activity on your device.
By using RetroZi, you agree to this Privacy Policy.
1. The short version
We do not require an account, login, or registration.
We do not collect, store, or sell your personal data.
Your collection, favorites, progress, coins, and skins are stored only on your device.
We use no advertising, no third‑party analytics, and no tracking SDKs.
The App connects to the internet only to download public game‑catalog information.
2. Information we collect
Personal information: None. RetroZi does not ask for your name, email, phone number, location, contacts, photos, or any other personal identifier.
Data stored locally on your device: To make the App work, RetroZi saves the following on your device only, and it never leaves your device:
Games you add to your collection, mark as favorite, or set as playing/completed
Your in‑app coin balance, unlocked and equipped skins
App preferences and onboarding state
A local cache of game‑catalog data so the App works offline and uses less data
This information is kept in the App's private storage and is not transmitted to us or any third party.
Automatically collected analytics: None. The App contains no analytics, crash‑reporting, or advertising libraries that profile you.
3. Internet access and third‑party services
RetroZi downloads game information (titles, release years, platforms, developers, box art, descriptions) from TheGamesDB (thegamesdb.net), a public video‑game database. This is the only external service the App contacts.
The App sends only the technical request needed to fetch this public game data.
We do not send any personal data to TheGamesDB.
As with any internet request, TheGamesDB and your network provider may automatically receive standard technical data such as your device's IP address. We do not control or store this data.
TheGamesDB's handling of data is governed by their own privacy practices. Please review their website for details.
4. Permissions
RetroZi requests only:
Internet access — to download game‑catalog data the first time and to refresh it.
The App does not request access to your location, camera, microphone, contacts, files, or other sensitive permissions.
5. How we share information
We do not share, rent, or sell any information, because we do not collect any. No data is shared with advertisers, data brokers, or other third parties.
6. Data retention and deletion
Because all of your activity is stored locally:
You can clear it at any time from your device's App settings → Storage → Clear data.
Uninstalling the App permanently deletes all locally stored data, including your collection, coins, and skins.
We hold no server‑side copy of your data, so there is nothing for us to delete on our side.
7. Children's privacy
RetroZi does not knowingly collect any personal information from anyone, including children. The App contains no account system, advertising, or social features. If you believe a child has somehow provided personal information through the App, please contact us — although, by design, the App collects none.
8. Security
Your in‑app data is stored in the App's private storage area provided by your operating system. Since no personal data is collected or transmitted to us, the risk surface is minimal. No method of electronic storage is ever 100% secure, but we keep the App's data footprint intentionally small.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above and publish the new version at the same location. Continued use of the App after changes means you accept the updated policy.
