1541 Navigator
Browse D64 and D71 disk image files. 1541 Navigator can parse and display the following:
Directory contents
BASIC programs
6502 Machine language programs (disassembly)
Word Processor and text documents.
Files can only be viewed, you can not edit or save files.
Spreadsheet and database files are not parsed. Use Hex, PETSCII, or ScrCode view to see alphanumeric text. GEOS applications and files are not parsed, only file information will be displayed.
Note: 1541 Navigator's default font will be selected as follows if present on your system

USAGE:
Open a D64 or D71 image file using the File→New or File→Open menu or simply drag and drop an image file into the window. The contents of the disk will be displayed in the left pane.
The file list is initially displayed in the order in which the files appear in the directory track of the disk (track 18). The list can be sorted in ascending order by clicking on the header of the column you wish to sort by. The list can be reverted back to the original order by pressing the REVERT button located at the bottom right of the list.
VIEW FILES:
Click on a file to display its contents in the viewing pane (right pane). Use the buttons at the top to select a view. The box in the lower right displays the start address of the file and can be changed when in Assembly View. The new address may be entered as decimal or hex. For example:
Decimal: 49152
Hexadecimal: $C000
The different views include:
BASIC: Displays BASIC program listings. BASIC listings will Include SIMON's BASIC , Super Expander, and VisionBASIC keywords if present. NEW: BASIC keywords are color coded.
Assembly: 6502 machine language disassembly. NEW: Common kernal routines & addresses are labeled
Hex: Display the file contents as hexadecimal bytes with both PETSCII and screen code characters. The characters will be displayed as if the C64 is in upper/lower case mode. No graphic characters are displayed.
PETSCII: Extracts text-only Commodore ASCII/PETSCII characters. This is the default for SEQ files and can be selected with any type of file.
ScrCode: Extracts text-only Commodore screen code characters. Can be used with word processing files or any file that stores text data as screen codes. This view can be selected with any type of file
The contents of the viewing pane can be selected, copied, and pasted into other applications if desired using the Edit menu or the standard keyboard controls. ⌘C (copy) and ⌘V (paste).
FIND (SEARCH):
The view pane can be searched using the Edit→Find option from the menu or by pressing ⌘F on the keyboard. If the find bar does not appear, click in the view pane and try again.
To display these instruction again, select File→Close from the menu or (⌘W) on the keyboard.
