Privacy Policy for RetireIQ Pro

RetireIQ Pro is designed to keep your financial information private. This policy explains exactly what happens to your data.
What we collect
RetireIQ Pro never collects or transmits your personal or financial information. That includes your name, email, account balances, income, spending, or any numbers you enter. We do not use advertising or cross-app tracking of any kind.
To improve the app, we collect a small amount of anonymous usage data, described below. This data cannot be used to identify you.
Anonymous usage analytics
RetireIQ Pro uses TelemetryDeck, a privacy-focused analytics service, to understand how the app is used. For example, it tells us how many people try a Monte Carlo simulation or open the upgrade screen. The data sent includes:
Which features are used (for example, "Monte Carlo simulation run" or "upgrade screen opened") and which screen they were opened from
Whether a purchase was completed, cancelled, or failed. This does not include any payment details.
A general result range for simulations (for example, "75–89% success") and the number of years simulated. Never your actual balances, spending, or other inputs.
Basic technical information: app version, iOS version, device type, and language/region settings
TelemetryDeck does not collect your name, email, IP address, or advertising identifier. It uses a randomly generated, anonymized identifier that cannot be linked back to you or your Apple ID. This data is not used for tracking or advertising and is not sold or shared with anyone. You can read TelemetryDeck's privacy policy at telemetrydeck.com/privacy.
What stays on your device
All the numbers you enter stay on your device. That includes account balances, income, contribution rates, saved plans, and every calculation result. They are stored locally using Apple's on-device data storage (SwiftData).
iCloud sync
If you have iCloud enabled on your device, your saved plans may sync across your own devices using Apple's CloudKit service. This sync happens entirely within your personal iCloud account, and we do not have access to this data. Apple's standard iCloud privacy and security protections apply, the same as for any other app that uses iCloud. You can control this through your device's iCloud settings at any time.
In-app purchases
RetireIQ Pro offers an optional one-time purchase to unlock additional features. Purchases are processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. We do not receive or store your payment information. Apple handles it according to its own privacy policy.
Face ID / passcode lock
If you enable the optional App Lock feature, RetireIQ Pro uses Apple's Face ID, Touch ID, or device passcode (through Apple's LocalAuthentication framework) to lock the app. Your biometric data is managed entirely by iOS and is never accessible to us or stored by this app.
Children's privacy
RetireIQ Pro is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect any information from children.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
