Resurface — Sleep Tracker

Yusuf Özmavi ("Developer", "we", "us") built Resurface as a commercial
application. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information when
you use our app.
OUR APPROACH TO PRIVACY
Resurface is designed with privacy at its core. We do not collect, store, or
transmit your personal sleep data, health information, or habits to any
server. All sleep logs, environmental metrics, achievements, and settings are
stored locally on your device.
INFORMATION WE STORE
1. Anonymous Authentication
We use Firebase Anonymous Authentication to create a unique anonymous
identifier for your account. We do not collect your name, email, phone number,
or any other personally identifiable information.
2. Subscription Status
If you subscribe to Resurface Premium, we store your subscription type (weekly
or yearly) and subscription date through Firebase, linked to your anonymous
identifier. Purchases are processed entirely by Apple through the App Store.
We never collect or access your payment information.
3. Local Data
All sleep logs, sleep quality ratings, environmental metrics, streaks,
achievements, notification preferences, and app settings are stored
exclusively on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework. This data never
leaves your device.
4. Health Data
If you enable Apple Health integration, sleep data is read from HealthKit and
processed entirely on your device. We never transmit, store, or share your
HealthKit data externally. Your HealthKit data is not used for advertising,
marketing, or data mining. It is not sold or disclosed to data brokers,
advertising platforms, or any third party. HealthKit data is used solely to
display your sleep information within the app.
5. Analytics and Crash Reporting
We use Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics (provided by Google) to
understand general app usage patterns and improve stability. This data is
collected anonymously and may include device type, OS version, app version,
crash logs, and general interaction events. No sleep data, health information,
or personally identifiable information is included in analytics.
TRACKING
We do not track you across other apps or websites. We do not use advertising
identifiers. We do not participate in any ad networks or data marketplaces.
THIRD-PARTY SERVICES
The app uses the following third-party services, each with their own privacy
policies:
- Firebase (Google) — Anonymous authentication, anonymous analytics, and crash
reporting

No personal sleep data or health information is shared with any of these
services.
DATA SHARING
We do not sell, trade, rent, or share any user data with third parties. We
have no advertising partners, display no ads, and do not engage in user
tracking or profiling. No data is shared with data brokers.
DATA RETENTION
Your anonymous identifier and subscription status are retained on Firebase for
the duration of your use of the app. Analytics and crash data is retained by
Firebase for up to 14 months and then automatically deleted. If you delete all
data from within the app, your local data is permanently erased from your
device. To request deletion of your anonymous identifier and subscription
records from Firebase, contact us at the email below and we will process your
request within 30 days.
DATA SECURITY
Your sleep data is stored locally on your device and protected by your
device's built-in security features including encryption. Firebase
communications use industry-standard TLS encryption. Since we do not maintain
servers with your personal data, there is no centralized database at risk.
YOUR RIGHTS
You can delete all local data at any time from within the app (Settings >
Delete All Data). You can revoke HealthKit access through iOS Settings >
Privacy & Security > Health.
If you are located in Turkey, you have rights under the KVKK (Kişisel
Verilerin Korunması Kanunu / Law No. 6698), including the right to learn
whether your data is processed, request information about processing, learn
the purpose of processing, request correction or deletion, and object to
automated decisions.
If you are located in the European Union, you have rights under the GDPR
including the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict processing, data
portability, and to object to processing.

CHILDREN'S PRIVACY
Resurface is not directed at children under 13. If you believe a child under
13 is using the app, please contact us at ozmaviyusuf6@gmail.com so we can
take appropriate action.
CHANGES TO THIS POLICY
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected
with an updated date above. Continued use of the app after changes
constitutes acceptance.
