   Received Travel Grant from ICMR to attend 17th World Congress (Evolving Humanity, Emerging Worlds) of the International Union of Anthropological and Ethnological Sciences (IUAES) 2013, Manchester, UK, 5th-10th August, 2013 (vide letter No. 3/2/TG-42/HRD-2012, dated 25.09.2013).


International Conference Attended: 


(i) Attended International Conference titled, “Utilization of Anthropological Knowledge in Development” in University of Rajshahi, Bangladesh during December 2-3, 2011. Title of the paper presented was “Violation of Child Rights to Survival in a Central Indian Village.”


(ii) Attended 17th World Congress (Evolving Humanity, Emerging Worlds) of the International Union of Anthropological and Ethnological Sciences (IUAES) 2013, Manchester, UK, 5th-10th August, 2013. Title of the paper presented was “Low socio-economic development vis-à-vis high infant mortality: role of women autonomy among the Ladiya population of Central India”.


Visiting Scientist in Indian Statistical Institute:


Joined Biological Anthropology Unit, Indian Statistical Institute, Kolkata for two months (February and March) in 2011 as Visiting Scientist. Completed assignment on “Anthropodemographic study of a lesser known community (Ladia) of Central India.”
