This privacy policy applies to the "ResultSys" app (hereby referred to as "Application") for mobile devices that was created by (hereby referred to as "Service Provider") as a Free service. This service is intended for use "AS IS".

Disclaimer

ResultSys is not affiliated with any government entity or official education board. This is a privately developed app that does not use any servers or databases of official education boards. We have no authority to modify any published exam results.

Use of Institution Logos

The Application uses logos of educational institutions for identification purposes only. These logos are displayed to help users identify the relevant institution for their results. The use of these logos does not imply any affiliation, endorsement, or official relationship with these institutions. The Application does not claim any such affiliation anywhere within its interface or documentation.

Educational Materials and Book Information

The Application displays book lists used for teaching students in various institutes. This information includes book thumbnails, author names, and other bibliographic information for educational purposes only. The Application does not:

• Provide any purchase links for these books

• Offer PDF or digital versions of these books

• Claim rights to any copyrighted material

• Generate revenue from displaying this information

This information is provided solely as a reference for students to identify required course materials.

Data Accuracy

The data shown in the Application, including exam results and academic information, does not claim to be 100% accurate or official. The National University Bangladesh may update results at any time without notice. If users identify discrepancies or if the National University of Bangladesh updates information, we will update our records accordingly upon notification. Users can report discrepancies by emailing us at resultsys.app@gmail.com.

Legal Information & Data Ownership

We value your privacy. The only data we collect is your Registration Number, an 11-digit identifier provided by the National University Bangladesh. This number, along with your result, is securely stored on our servers.

The result data is collected from the publicly available results published by the National University Bangladesh's official result website.

This information cannot be completely deleted as the application's functionality depends on it, specifically for rank calculation, report generation, and the CGPA calculator feature.

Information Collection and Use

The Application collects information when you download and use it. This information may include:

• The Registration Number provided by the user

For a better experience and app functionality, while using our Service, we require you to provide us with your Registration Number. This data is stored securely on our server, along with the result. The app does not collect any other personal data from users.

Data Security and Storage

Your Registration Number is encrypted and stored on our secure servers in Singapore. We use HTTPS to protect data during transmission. Please be aware that Registration Numbers are publicly available on certain platforms. While we strive to protect your privacy, we recommend keeping your Registration Number confidential.

User Data Access & Anonymization Rights

You have the right to correct any inaccurate data we hold. If you find an error in your results, please contact us at resultsys.app@gmail.com. Additionally, if you wish to anonymize your data, you can request this via email.

• Anonymization Process: Upon request, we will remove direct identifiers (such as your Registration Number) while retaining non-personal aggregated data for ranking and analytics purposes.

• Limitations: While we strive to comply with data privacy requests, full deletion is not possible due to the public nature of exam results on the National University Bangladesh's official website.

Consent

When you first use the application, you will be presented with a clear request for consent to this privacy policy. You must accept the terms to use the application. You can withdraw your consent at any time by uninstalling the application, though your data will remain in our system as per our Data Retention Policy.

Third-Party Services & Data Handling

Our app uses third-party services that may collect non-personal information for analytics and advertisements. These services operate under their own privacy policies, which you can review below:

• Google Play Services

• AdMob

• Firebase Services

These services may collect device-related data, such as IP addresses, Advertisement IDs, and analytics, but do not access personal user information entered in our application.

Data Retention Policy

We retain your Registration Number and results indefinitely to support essential features like rank calculation, report generation, and CGPA calculation. We cannot delete this data completely because:

• Rank Calculation: The app calculates and displays ranks based on the collective data of all users. Deleting individual data points would disrupt the accuracy and functionality of this core feature.

• Publicly Available Data: The Registration Number and result data are collected from the publicly available results archive of the National University Bangladesh. Even if we were to delete the data from our servers, it would remain publicly accessible on the National University of Bangladesh's server.

While complete deletion isn't possible, users can request partial anonymization of their data by contacting us. In such cases, we may be able to disassociate certain elements of the data from the Registration Number while maintaining the functionality of our ranking system.

We strive to be transparent about our data retention practices and provide users with as much information as possible to make informed decisions about using the app.

International Data Transfers

Your information, including the Registration Number, may be transferred to and maintained on servers located in Singapore, outside of your state, province, country, or other governmental jurisdiction where the data protection laws may differ from those in your jurisdiction. Your consent to this privacy policy, followed by your submission of such information, represents your agreement to that transfer.

Regulatory Compliance

While ResultSys is primarily designed for students of National University Bangladesh, users can access their data from any state in the world. We respect and acknowledge privacy regulations such as GDPR (EU) and CCPA (California). We strive to honor the spirit of these regulations where feasible within the constraints of our application's functionality. However, children under 13 may view publicly available exam results of family members using this Application.

You are advised to consult this Privacy Policy regularly for any changes, as continued use is deemed approval of all changes.
