Restore Inner West Line
Liverpool/Bankstown via Regents Park Trains
Fast Trains for Lidcombe, Auburn, Granville
"To get to the city now takes numerous changes. There is more congestion with people at Lidcombe station"
"Five stops 50 minutes from Berala to Strathfield - what a disgrace"
"I feel unsafe changing trains at Birrong, especially at night time, my travelling time has dramatically increased since the instalment of the new timetable, and the lack of trains is a huge burden and cause of great inconvenience"
"I hate having to catch 2 if not 3 trains now to get to the city on what has been for years a main route"
1924 - 2013: Inner West Line to Liverpool (and Bankstown) via Regents Park
October 2013: T2 Inner West Line cut at Homebush. T3 Bankstown Line cut at Lidcombe
2017: Inner West Line replaces fast trains for Lidcombe, Auburn, Clyde, Granville, Harris Park
The State Government’s train cuts over the past 5 years are the worst downgrade to public transport in a generation!
2013: Removing the T2 Inner West Line from Liverpool via Regents Park forces additional interchanges at Birrong, Lidcombe, Strathfield
Overcrowding has also increased on the Western Line and Leppington Line resulting from Gladys Berejiklian's attacks on public transport
2017: Instead of restoring T2 trains to Liverpool (and Bankstown), the T2 now replaces fast trains for Lidcombe, Auburn, Clyde, Granville, Harris Park
Transport for NSW has been unable to provide evidence that reliability has improved as a direct result of the Inner West Line cuts and timetable changes

Restore Inner West Line
Founded in 2013 with the support of the then State Member for Auburn (Barbara Perry) and the Member for Bankstown (Tania Mihailuk), local residents joined together at community meetings and rallies to protest the then Transport Minister Gladys Berejiklian's cut to Inner West Line (removal of Liverpool/Bankstown via Regents Park) trains and Bankstown Line trains to City via Lidcombe.
We have since received the support from Luke Foley (NSW Labor Opposition Leader and current Member for Auburn) to restore the Inner West Line and for a review of the Sydney Trains timetable if elected to government.

Restore Inner West Line is a Community Action Group campaigning for public transport improvements and sustainable development in the electorates of Strathfield, Auburn, Granville, Bankstown, Fairfield and Liverpool.
We have worked with local councils (e.g. Strathfield, Auburn, Cumberland, Liverpool) and other like-minded community groups (e.g. The Battler, No WestConnex, FIX NSW Transport, Sydenham-Bankstown Alliance) in the fight to improve public transport in Sydney, oppose privitisation of services, and to stop over-development.
