Privacy-First Design: Respiro does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data. Your usage statistics and settings stay exclusively on your device.


1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains how Respiro | Minimal Launcher (“the App”) handles information. The App is developed by Francesco Sgnaolin (“Developer”, “we”, “us”).

This policy complies with the General Data Protection Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR) and applicable data protection laws worldwide.


2. What We Do NOT Collect

Respiro is designed with privacy as a core principle. The Developer does not collect, process, or have access to any of the following:

All your usage statistics, settings, and preferences are stored exclusively on your device and are never transmitted to any server controlled by the Developer.


3. Local Data Storage

3.1 What is stored locally

The App stores the following information locally on your device:

3.2 Data Deletion

You can delete all your local data at any time through the App settings. Upon deletion or uninstalling the App, all locally stored data is permanently removed from your device.


4. Screen Activity and Usage Statistics

A core feature of Respiro is helping you become aware of how much you use your device. To do this, the App records when your device screen is turned on, turned off, and unlocked, and uses these events to calculate the time your device is in use versus idle.

The resulting statistics are stored locally and are shown only to you, within the App. Uninstalling the App permanently deletes them.


5. Access to Installed Applications

Because Respiro is a launcher (home screen replacement), it needs to read the list of applications installed on your device in order to display their icons and names on the home screen and in the app drawer, and to launch them when you tap them.

6. Permissions and Default Launcher Role

Respiro is designed to work with no special runtime permissions.

To function as your home screen, the App asks to be set as your default launcher (Home app). This is a standard Android role selected by you through a system dialog; it is a user preference, not a data-collection permission, and you can change your default launcher at any time in your device settings.


7. Third-Party Services

While the Developer does not collect personal data, the App integrates with third-party services that may collect information according to their own privacy policies.

7.1 Google Play Store

The App is distributed through the Google Play Store. When you download, review, or make purchases, Google may collect information as described in their privacy policy. The Developer receives only anonymous, aggregated statistics from Google and has no access to individual user data.

7.2 Google Play Billing (In-App Purchases)

The App offers an optional one-time in-app purchase (Premium) to unlock additional features.

All payment processing is handled exclusively by Google Play. The Developer never receives, processes, or has access to your payment information, credit card details, or billing data. We only receive confirmation that a purchase was completed.


8. Advertising

Respiro does not display any advertisements. The App does not integrate with any advertising platform or ad network. No advertising-related data is collected, processed, or shared.


9. Your Rights Under GDPR

Under the General Data Protection Regulation, you have the following rights:

For data processed by Google (Play Store, Billing), please exercise your rights directly through Google’s privacy controls or contact Google according to their privacy policy.


10. Children’s Privacy

The App is intended for general audiences and does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 years of age (or the applicable age in your jurisdiction). Since the App does not collect any personal data from users, there is no risk of inadvertent collection of children’s data by the Developer.


11. International Data Transfers

The Developer does not transfer any personal data internationally, as no personal data is collected.

Third-party services (Google) may transfer data to servers located in the United States or other countries. These transfers are governed by Google’s privacy policy and comply with applicable data protection frameworks, including the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework.


12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted within the App and on our official channels. We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
