Resource Tuesdays at La Casita Center are the community events in which families come to the center to get food, diapers, COVID-19 vaccines, and other available resources. Our Resource Tuesday happens every month. For La Casita Center to be ready, we require extraordinary organizing and hands of volunteers to work before the event and during the event. Come hang out with us and have some fun while making these community events a success!

1. Group Volunteers:
We need volunteers to help us prepare in advance all the resources that will be provided during these events. Closet organizing, diapers organizing, pre-setup of space, wellness kits, grocery bags, etc.
Would you like to sign up your Employee Resource Group, your after-school club, or your volleyball team? We LOVE working with groups of all kinds and sizes! Please contact us at jo@lacasitacenter.org to find the date and time that works for you!
2. Tabling During Events:
This is for organizations that could provide information to families during the event. The information can be directed to parents (during the diaper workshop) or at the "market set up" where the organization could have a table. It is required that all information, and fliers shared are available in Spanish as well. The representative will be required to be fluent in Spanish if would like to have conversations with most of the families.
We encourage organizations to also bring goodies according to the theme of the event.

3. Donation Drives: After every event, our stock for food, clothes, diapers, hygiene goods, shoes, and other things goes considerably low. We are welcoming around 200-300 families during our Resource Tuesdays. Groups can support us by organizing drive donations to gather items from our list and come drop them off at the center before the organizing day begins!
This is a great way to get involved and share La Casita's mission with your circle. Great for church groups, leadership, high school groups and organizations, universities, and more!
You can also donate the goods as an individual by buying them from our Target Registry or Amazon Wishlist
