RESIZEN PRIVACY POLICY

This Privacy Policy explains how Resizen (“the App”, “we”, “us”) handles information when you use the iOS app. Resizen lets you resize photos with AI. Please read this policy before using the App.

1. SUMMARY
• No account or sign-up is required.
• An anonymous identifier is created so we can keep your credit balance on our servers.
• Photos you choose to resize are sent to our backend and to fal.ai for processing.
• Generated images and history stay on your device unless you save or share them.
• Purchases are processed by Apple. We use RevenueCat to confirm purchases and add credits.
• We do not sell your personal information.
• We do not show third-party ads in the App.
2. INFORMATION WE PROCESS
2.1 Anonymous identifier
When you open the App, Firebase Anonymous Authentication creates a random user ID. You do not provide a name, email, or password. This ID is used to:
• store and update your credit balance;
• link in-app purchases to the same balance;
• protect API requests together with Firebase App Check.
If you delete the App, this anonymous ID (and the server credit balance tied to it) may no longer be reachable from that device.
2.2 Photos and related inputs
When you resize an image, the App may send:
• the photo you selected or captured (compressed for upload);
• target sizes, resolution, output format, and any optional text prompt you enter.
This data is sent to our Firebase Cloud Functions backend and then to fal.ai (Smart Resize) to generate the result. We use it only to complete the resize you requested.
We do not use your photos to train our own AI models. Processing by fal.ai is subject to fal.ai’s own terms and privacy policy.
2.3 Credit and purchase records
On our servers (Google Firebase / Firestore) we may store:
• credit balance;
• whether a welcome credit was granted;
• whether credits have ever been purchased;
• timestamps related to your credit account;
• purchase product IDs and transaction identifiers needed to grant credits once and prevent duplicates.
2.4 Device and request data
To run and protect the service we may process:
• Firebase App Check tokens (to verify requests come from the genuine App);
• a signed-in token for your anonymous ID;
• IP address and coarse request metadata for rate limiting, abuse prevention, and security logs.
2.5 Information stored only on your device
The following stay on your iPhone or iPad unless you copy, share, or save them elsewhere:
• generated images and resize history;
• a local cache of your credit balance for display;
• appearance (theme) preference.
2.6 Permissions
The App may ask for:
• Camera — only if you capture a photo to resize.
• Photo Library (add only) — only if you tap Save to Photos.
• Notifications — optional local alerts when a resize finishes. These notifications are created on your device and are not used for marketing.
You can change these permissions in iOS Settings.
3. HOW WE USE INFORMATION
We use the information above to:
• provide AI resize;
• keep your credit balance accurate;
• confirm in-app purchases and grant credits;
• prevent fraud, abuse, and unauthorized access;
• diagnose failures and keep the service working.
We do not use your photos for advertising. We do not sell personal information.
4. THIRD-PARTY SERVICES
The App relies on these providers. They process data only as needed to provide their services, under their own policies:
• Apple — App Store, in-app purchases, and (if you save photos) the system photo library.

Payment card details are handled by Apple, not by Resizen.
5. DATA RETENTION
• Photos sent for a resize are processed to fulfill that request. We do not operate a public gallery of your uploads. Generated files are downloaded to your device; history is local.
• Server credit records are kept so your balance and purchase grants remain valid while you use the App.
• Security and rate-limit logs are kept only as long as needed for protection and debugging.
• You can delete generated items in History. That removes them from the device permanently.
• Uninstalling the App deletes local history and images on that device. It does not automatically delete the server credit record tied to the anonymous ID.
6. SHARING
We share information only:
• with the providers listed above, to operate the App;
• if required by law;
• to protect the App, users, or others from fraud or abuse.
We do not sell your information. We do not share your photos with other users.
7. CHILDREN
Resizen is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has used the App in a way that sent us data, contact us and we will delete what we can.
8. INTERNATIONAL PROCESSING
Servers and providers may process data in the United States or other countries (including Google Firebase and fal.ai). If you use the App from another country, your information may be transferred to those locations.
9. YOUR CHOICES AND RIGHTS
Depending on where you live (for example GDPR or similar laws), you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal data we hold, or to object to certain processing.
Because the App uses an anonymous ID and no email login, we may need information you provide (such as a purchase receipt or approximate dates of use) to locate a record.
You can:
• delete history items in the App;
• revoke camera, photos, or notification access in iOS Settings;
• stop using the App and uninstall it.
To request deletion of server-side credit records associated with your use of the App, email [YOUR EMAIL ADDRESS].
10. SECURITY
Requests to our backend require Firebase App Check and a signed anonymous token. Credits are stored on the server, not only on the device. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. Please only upload images you have the right to use.
11. CHANGES
We may update this Privacy Policy. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of the App after an update means you accept the revised policy.
