If you do not know who your House Representative is, you can easily call the Capitol Hill switchboard at (202) 224-3121. "1" for Senators "2" for House. Enter your zip code when prompted to find your House Rep and be put through to their office.

No Cabinet Appointees until Ethics Review: Calling your Senator to ask that Donald's cabinet appointment nominee's confirmation hearings are only initiated once the Office of Congressional Ethics have completed their review of the nominee.

I have been made aware that confirmation hearings for the upcoming administration will begin without the typical background checks and ethical reviews we expect of cabinet nominees.

I consider confirming appointments to some of the highest offices in the presidential administration without basic checks on their conflicts of interest or ratification of ethics considerations both reckless and inappropriate. These positions are important and affect the day to day life of our population. They cannot be made in an irresponsible fashion without basic background checks.

I request that the senator loudly and effectively opposes these confirmation hearings pending the completion of the Office of Congressional Ethics' review. I look forward to hearing about their confirmed plan to delay these hearings pending the completion of background checks and ethical review when next I call.
