La Providencia is located at km 328 of Route 7, on the Pampas plain. The building has two wings, a patio with fruit trees, and ten rooms. The shed was transformed using bioconstruction techniques into a spacious studio and a 100 m² living room. There is a biodynamic garden, a chicken coop, a fireplace, and four wood-fired ceramic kilns.
The establishment's animals are part of the landscape and the experience: they roam freely throughout the park.
La Providencia is both a cultural center and a wildlife refuge: here, art also cares.

What motivates us
We conceive a residency as a retreat from the daily routine, its monotony and obligations, a gift one gives to oneself. It is a way of facilitating a space for encounter and reunion between oneself and the artist. Generating a space and situation for creation and reflection to occur naturally.
Residencia La Providencia makes this situation possible by offering a unique place, a space of peace and action, of immersive nature. It will be 25 days of creativity and encounters. Our goal is for the artist and the group of artists to become a powerhouse of individual and collective creation.
Forest, wood, adobe, adobe, branches, a lagoon, kilns, firewood, fires and stoves, ceremonies with live music, curatorial support, discussion and exchange circles... an engine of creation.

The program
Residents are invited to work on their personal projects and proposals, following a specific schedule for fieldwork, guided by the residency's curatorial and production team.
Depending on each resident's willingness and interest, the creative process will be monitored. Days of exchange and reflection will be held between the resident artists and the residency coordination team. During these sessions, portfolio presentations and discussions will be held to develop the works.
Throughout the residency, various optional activities will be offered, such as open classes, ceremonies, and experience-sharing circles.

what we cant offer:
International and National Transportation
Room service
Artists are expected to participate in all program activities, including weekly one-on-one meetings with curators, ceremonies, events, monthly salons, and other social gatherings (to be determined).

Eligibility Criteria:
Artists working across all mediums are encouraged to apply, with a focus on interdisciplinary practices such arts as visuals, sound, architecture and dance.

We care
Cero waste residency is our goal, During the residency program all waste will be composted and recycled. We have a sanctuary in La Providencia, where we preserve native species.
