Ivan Pires de Oliveira
Bachelor in Chemistry and Master in Environmental Science and Technology. Ph.D. in Sciences/Chemistry, post-doctoral at University of São Paulo, and currently Professor at Federal University of Minas Gerais. My interest is focused on physical-chemical approach of biomolecules with potential as pharmaceutics and with environmental appeal. In this sense, molecular simulations, such as MD and Docking simulations, are applied to understand the interactions of organic molecules with protein targets. These molecules are chosen according to their folk medicinal use in Brazil or their commercially potential. I also have interest in applying MD simulations to evaluate the interactions of biofuel blends at a molecular level, accompanied by experimental data obtained from molecular spectroscopies, UV-Vis and Fluorescence. We have also applied computational simulations to study a combination of nanomaterials, NMs, wasted as “modern trashes” and biomolecules, according to their optical behavior and biological effects.Research Interests
