This project will initiate a discussion on the research assessment criteria of Indian research and funding institutions through multiple workshops with the major stakeholders of the Indian research ecosystem. By initiating debates over the strengths and weaknesses of current assessment practices, the workshops will help institutions build robust, flexible research assessment frameworks.
