We have reported the first comprehensive study of DNA hybridization in an active thermal-flow field, by probing the fundamental aspects of nucleic acid binding to their complementary sequences, which is an intrinsic process in molecular biology that plays a major role in replication, transcription and translation, where specific recognition of nucleic acid sequences by complementary strands is essential for propagation of information content, eventually leading to the rapid analysis of genetic information. This study has paved the way towards the development of several novel rapid DNA hybridization technologies all across the globe.
