Ts. Dr. Hj. Muhammad Khusairy Bin Capt. Hj. Bakri is specialist in materials/mechanical engineering. Khusairy obtained his Doctor of Philosophy, PhD (2018), Master of Engineering (by Research), MEng (2016) and Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical Engineer), BEng (2014) from Swinburne University of Technology. Currently, Khusairy is working with Composite Materials and Engineering Center, Washington State University (WSU) as a Postdoctoral Research Associate under Dr. Vikram Yadama teams. Previously, Khusairy work in UNIMAS as a Research Fellow with his priority of research towards materials science, polymer composites, biomaterials, and education. Khusairy working under supervision of Dr. Md Rezaur Rahman with Faculty of Engineering - Universiti Malaysia Sarawak (UNIMAS). Previously, Khusairy joined in as a Higher Degree Researcher/Teaching Assistant from 2014 to 2018. During that time, Khusairy has taught few subjects such as computer aided design (CAD), materials and process, material and manufacturing, and thermodynamics. Khusairy also assists his supervisors, in monitoring undergraduate final year projects. Khusairy has published more than 140 publications, local and international (journal, book chapter, conference paper, etc.). Khusairy is and co-edito for the book "Recycled Plastic Biocomposites" and also one of the main contributors for the book of 'Fundamentals and Recent Advances in Nanocomposites Based on Polymers and Nanocellulose", "Advances in Sustainable Polymer Composites" and “Silica and Clay Dispersed Polymer Nanocomposites”, and published in Woodhead Publishing/Elsevier that available in ScienceDirect, and "Bamboo Polymer Nanocomposites: Preparation for Sustainable Applications", “Acacia Wood Bio-composites: Towards Bio-Sustainable of Environment” published in Springer that available in SpringerLink. Khusairy also received many awards from local and international conference and expo. Khusairy was registered and certified with a Graduate Engineer (GradEng) by the Board of Engineer Malaysia (BEM), and a Professional Technologist (PTech) and Graduate Technologist (GradTech) by the Malaysian Board of Technologist (MBOT). Khusairy has contributed to Universiti Malaysia Sarawak (Malaysia), Swinburne University of Technology (Australia/Malaysia), Universiti Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia), Universiti Putra Malaysia (Malaysia), Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (Malaysia), Universiti Teknologi Mara (Malaysia) University of Houston (United States), Coppin State University (United States), Ton Duc Thang University (Vietnam), Vyatka State University (Russia), South Ural State University (Russia), University of Chittagong (Bangladesh), and Zhangir Khan West Kazakhstan Agrarian Technical University (Kazakhstan) through collaboration with other researchers either as a leader or group members of the research. His current Google Scholar h-index is 15 and i-10 index is 19. Previously working with Ranhill WorleyParsons Sdn. Bhd., has made him participated in many oil and gas project relate with two big companies; Shell and PCSB/Petronas on BLNG (Shell), ST. JOSEPH (Shell), E11 (Shell), B1W (Shell), B23 (Shell), BAYAN (PCSB/Petronas), TEMANA (PCSB/Petronas), D18 (PCSB/Petronas) and TUKAU (PCSB/Petronas) project during his internship. Personally, He is always looking for an opportunity to improve himself on new skills and knowledge in material, mechanical, chemical, insulation, drilling, acoustical, energy, oil and gas, renewable and sustainable sector project.
