Privacy Policy for RescueX

RescueX is a personal safety application designed to help users respond to emergency situations by quickly alerting trusted contacts and collecting safety-related information. We value user privacy and are committed to handling personal data responsibly and transparently.

Permissions and How We Use Them:

RescueX requests certain device permissions only to provide essential safety features. These permissions are used strictly for their stated purposes and only when initiated by the user.

Camera:

Camera access is used only to control the device flashlight during emergency situations, such as when the siren feature is activated. The app does not capture photos or videos and does not access the camera in the background without the user’s knowledge.

Microphone:

Microphone access is used only when the user explicitly activates the audio recording feature to collect emergency or incident-related evidence. Audio recording does not occur automatically or in the background.

Location:

Location access is used when the user activates an SOS or emergency feature to share their current location with selected emergency contacts. Location data is not permanently stored and is not used for tracking purposes.

Contacts:

Contacts access is used only to allow users to select trusted guardians or emergency contacts. Contact information is not uploaded to external servers, stored remotely, or shared with third parties.

SMS:

SMS permission is used only to send emergency alert messages initiated by the user. Messages are sent solely to user-selected emergency contacts and are not sent automatically, in the background, or for promotional purposes.

Notifications:

Notifications are used to inform users about emergency status, safety alerts, and background service states such as hardware button activation. Notifications are not used for advertising or spam.

Phone Calls:

Phone permission is used only to allow users to directly place emergency calls to services such as police, ambulance, fire brigade, women helplines, and disaster management numbers. Calls are initiated strictly by user action within the app, and the app does not make calls automatically or in the background.

Advertising:

RescueX uses Google AdMob to display advertisements. Google AdMob may collect limited non-personal information such as device identifiers, IP address, and app usage data to provide and improve advertising services. RescueX does not access, store, or control the data collected by Google AdMob.
Users can learn more about how Google uses data from apps that use its services through Google’s privacy policy. 

Data Sharing:

• RescueX does not sell, rent, or trade user personal data.

• Data is shared only as required for emergency communication initiated by the user.

• No data is shared for marketing or profiling purposes.

Data Security:

We take reasonable measures to protect user data from unauthorized access or misuse. However, no digital system can guarantee absolute security.

Children’s Privacy:

RescueX is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to This Privacy Policy:

This Privacy Policy may be updated to reflect changes in app features or legal requirements. Any updates will be posted on this page with a revised date.
