My Square Mile
In 2007 the Design Commission for Wales published a bilingual booklet entitled 'My Square Mile' to encourage the use of the local built environment as an educational resource. It summarises a programme first piloted in 33 primary schools in Swansea and 6 schools across Carmarthenshire and Ceredigion. Files were produced for downloading to encourage teachers throughout Wales to develop the ideas to delineate the square mile from which their school draws its students.
