Rescue Wallet is a Chrome extension designed to help users recover eligible ERC-20 tokens and claim supported airdrops from compromised EVM wallets they own or are authorized to recover from.
This Privacy Policy explains what information Rescue Wallet handles, how it is used, and how it is protected.
Rescue Wallet may handle the following types of information:
• Wallet addresses, including compromised wallet addresses, sponsor wallet addresses, and safe recipient wallet addresses
• Blockchain network information, such as selected chain, chain ID, RPC details, and token contract addresses
• Transaction details, including token type, contract address, transaction origin, value, destination address, transaction hash, and gas-related information
• Wallet authentication information, including private keys imported by the user
• Extension settings, including selected network, theme, wallet setup status, saved recipient address, and rescue configuration
• Website origin information when a user connects the extension to a supported dApp or airdrop website
The information handled by Rescue Wallet is used only for the extension’s main purpose:
• To allow users to configure a compromised wallet, sponsor wallet, and safe recipient wallet
• To display wallet balances and supported network information
• To prepare, review, approve, reject, and complete rescue transactions
• To help users claim supported airdrops or transfer eligible ERC-20 tokens
• To show transaction details before user confirmation
• To maintain local extension settings and wallet state
• To interact with supported blockchain networks, RPC providers, dApps, and backend services required for the rescue flow
Private keys imported into Rescue Wallet are stored locally in the user’s browser extension storage. Users are responsible for keeping their device, browser profile, and wallet information secure.
Rescue Wallet does not sell private keys, wallet addresses, transaction data, or user data.
Important: Users should only import wallets that they own or are explicitly authorized to recover.
Rescue Wallet does not sell user data.
Some blockchain-related data may be sent to blockchain RPC providers, supported dApps, backend services, or blockchain networks when required to complete wallet connection, transaction simulation, transaction signing, transaction broadcasting, balance checking, token rescue, or airdrop claiming.
Blockchain transactions are public by nature. Once a transaction is submitted to a blockchain network, transaction details may become publicly visible on that blockchain and related block explorers.
Rescue Wallet may communicate with remote backend services and blockchain RPC endpoints to fetch configuration, chain data, token data, transaction data, and recovery-related information.
These services are used only to provide or improve the rescue and wallet functionality of the extension.
Rescue Wallet stores required extension data locally in the browser using Chrome extension storage. This may include wallet setup state, selected network, safe recipient address, token contract addresses, encrypted wallet vault data, and extension preferences.
Users can remove locally stored extension data by removing the extension from Chrome or clearing the extension’s stored data.
Users control when they import wallets, set recipient addresses, connect to websites, approve transactions, reject transactions, or initiate rescue actions.
Rescue Wallet does not guarantee successful recovery of all assets. Recovery depends on token support, chain support, wallet state, smart contract compatibility, gas availability, and network conditions.
Rescue Wallet uses user data only to provide and improve its single purpose: helping users recover eligible assets from compromised wallets they own or are authorized to recover.
We do not use user data for advertising, creditworthiness, lending decisions, or unrelated purposes.
We use reasonable technical measures to protect extension data. However, no browser extension, wallet, blockchain service, or internet-based system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
Users should use Rescue Wallet only on trusted devices and should never share private keys, seed phrases, or wallet credentials with anyone.
