We The People

We The People workshops and lamppost exhibitions seek to animate democracy and the US Constitution to promote educated participation in the democratic process and active citizenry. The exhibit depicts the preamble to the constitution and amendments, created by people of all ages and abilities.

Less than 40% of Americans vote, that is less than all developed countries.

Only 10% of us can recite this simple preamble to our Constitution . . .

"We the People of the United States, in order to form a more perfect union, establish justice, insure domestic tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general welfare, and secure the blessings of liberty to ourselves and our posterity,"
